Today we have published the revised competition and safety rules.

To give you a first insight of the building blocks, we published our preliminary design for the building blocks. In the competition, we will provide building blocks with 3 g, 50 g, 100g and 200 g weights. We are still fine tuning our design and the final design will be uploaded as a 3-D printable file soon.

Additionally we have included another aerial support challenge for the outdoor competition. In this challenge, a MAV will acompany a rescue vehicle on the way to the rescue site.

The safety rules have been updatet to increase the maximum takeoff weight for the outdoor competition to 6 kg.

We are happy to receive your questions and comments on the updated competition rules.

  1. I do have a few questions.

    1. Cone Size
Will the cone size differ by weight?
Ex) 200 [g] cone diameter will be larger than 5 [cm] etc.

    2. Cone Color
Will the cone color distinctive and various?
Ex) Red cone? Blue cone? Gray cone? Unified Color? Various Colors?

    3. Cone Material & Finish
What would be the cone material?
Will the finish be reflective, slippery, etc?

    4. Drop zone & Color coded lane configuration
Will the color coded lane be wide (> 2 [m]) as depicted in the rule?
Will the Drop zone be at the end of the gray lane only (as depicted in the rule),
so that drone from other lanes must go into the drop zone at the end of gray lane,
and cannot drop at the end of each lane?
